Talent Show

Yes!!! Talent Show is coming. I'm sure we'll have so much fun tomorrow. I'm going to perform our song in 7th place with my band. I hope we won't make any mistake and you'll like it. Have fun!!!

Placebo Concert

Placebo is coming to Turkey in 23th june and they will perform a concert in "Kurucesme Arena". I'm going to get a ticket and go to the concert for sure. Placebo is an alternative rock band and creates wonderful songs, such as this picture, meds, special k, pure morning... I really like their music style. Their new album, named "battle for the sun", hasn't been put in the music markets, but their first single, which has the same name with the name of album, is known by all placebo fans. I think their drummer left the group in 2007 because he couldn't deal with the other group members. I don't know who their drummer is. Anyway, I would like everyone who loves placebo to go to the concert.

S.O.A.D. ( You should read this post )

S.O.A.D, System of a Down, is an armenian hard rock band and they have many fans all around the world, and they are joining the Eurovision music competition this year as far as I know. Although they create very good rhythms for their songs and covers I hate their lyrics, like all Turkish people. They are totally against Turkey. They use their songs for spreading the idea of So-called Armenian genocide in the world. They extremely insult us and our leader Atatürk. In one of their songs, called Holy mountains, they describe Atatürk and all Turkish people as a liar, killer and demon. Also they want us to go back from their lands. I don't think we are the people like they described. I also think that they don't have a rihgt for insulting us. They can defence their ideas without cursing other people. Finally, I want to say that please do not listen and support this band.

NIRVANA ! !

Nirvana was a rock and grunge band. The singer of the band was Kurt Cobain, who died in 1993. I think he was one of the best singers in all times, he coul unbeliavebly use his voice . Also he started the grunge music age in the world. However he had problems with life, he always declared that he could never be happy. So he began to use marijuana and smoke very much. At last he commited suicade. I still love their songs, such as dumb, polly, rape me and smells like teen sprit. Also I really like the band's name, because it has a very deep meaning. Nirvana means getting rid of all the wishes and bad things, becoming happy and coming to the best position in "buddhism".

Practise in Studio

Yesterday Kaan, Emir and I went to studio to get prepared for the elemination of Talent Show. We thought it would be fantastic, but it wouldn't start the way we thought. Although we had played "Breed" very consistently, we could not play the song, called "Askın Gozu" very well in first 40 minute. There was something wrong when we played, but we could not realize for 40 minutes. Then, we found out that the rhythm was very fast. It means the problem based on my drums. I was playing faster that ı should. So I reduced the speed of playing drums and the song started to be played wonderfully. We could play the song very well for 3 time in last 20 minutes of practise. We really had fun and such a fantastic, Musical day.

Covers!!

There're many groups which cannot make their own melodies, songs and make covers of old songs. I'm not telling that all of the covers are awful, but I think making covers shows lack of quality of groups. One of the best groups in Turkey, which creates wonderful covers, is "Üç Nokta Bir". Although I'm against covers I like listening their covers. Their last cover is "umbrella" by Rihanna. They changed the song in a rock way and they really rock!!! I hope you'll like it too when you listen to it.

Talent Show Elemination!!

Kaan, Emir, who are my friends from 9th grade, and I joined to the eliminations of talent show as a music group. Kaan is the electric guitarist and the soloist, Emir is the bass guitarist and I'm the drummer of the group. We played the song called "Köpek" by Athena, which is the cover of the song "Breed" by Nirvana. I think we played well. (thought we had played better in studio) However, the jury didn't accept the song. The reason was announced that there are some slang words in the song, but they gave us another chance to sing another Turkish song until the 1th of April. So we've been thinking about what the new song will be. We haven't decided the new song but we determined 3 songs, which are "Deli" by Mor ve Otesi and "Gol" and "Askın Gozu" by Malt. In my opinion, the new song should be Askın gozu, but ofcourse the desicion should be accepted by the all members of the group. Anyway, I hope we'll be joining to the talent show. If we cannot join, it's okay. I won't be sad, because we played together and had a lot of fun.

Muse's New Album is Coming Up

One of the best rock bands, Muse is releasing a new album in the second part of 2009. Like every fan of Muse, I'm waiting for this album eagerly. The solist of the group, Matthew Bellamy, announced that the most challenging song that they have ever done will be covered in this album. This song will be like a symphony. If the album will be the lasts albums of them, I'm sure that it'll be very amusing. In my opinion, they should produce songs like their most popular songs, called time is running out and starlight.

Eminem's New Single

The Slim Shady came back with a fantastic single, called " Crack a Bottle ". Beside Eminem, 50 cent and Dr. Dre sings one part of the song. I think this the best rap song I've listened. I'm really affected by the single. The rhytim and the lyrics of the song are wonderful. I'm extremely curious about Eminem's new singles.

Turkish Alternative Rock Band :Dorian

I'm really sorry, because I totally forgot writing to my blog. I'm starting to write again and make you informated about my music style and new music news.

I want to talk about a Turkish rock group called Dorian. Althought they aren't known by many people, they are one of a few bands who can extremely play alternative rock in Turkey. I love them, especially the bass guitarist. Also I like the aim of group, because their aim is not to be known by everybody and to be famous, they just want people, who like listening alternative rock

can listen a Turkish alternative songs.

I think the best song of the group is "yeniden hayata" (come back to life), they also have an interesting song named "Gel gör beni" (come and see me). This song is a normally divine song, but they sing it in a alternative way and created a good version. Thought the group gets bad reactions by many musicians, I like their way and their songs.
